When a person becomes a victim of obesity and all the general methods of weight reduction like weight loss pills, dieting and exercising has failed to cure him then it is prescribed that the person should or can undergo a weight loss surgery, which is also known as Bariatric Surgery. When a person gets highly obese and his body weight crosses even 50 kilos more than the normal weight then he is advised to have a weight loss surgery. Some other factors also accompany the cause for this surgery like if the person is suffering from diabetes, any kind of depression or if he is having high blood pressure. But it has been seen that many people all over the world suffering from obesity or any other problem emerging from being overweight, have resolved or gained a lot after having gone through a weight loss surgery. With the help of modern science Bariatric Surgery helps in reducing weight by two different procedures. The first procedure is named as the “Laparoscopic Bands” which is a Swedish gastric band, adjustable in nature. These bands are used by placing them around the stomach and they make the stomach smaller. Whereas the second procedure is known as the “Gastric Bypass Surgery”, in which the intestine is bypassed which absorbs most of the calories and this procedure is known as the “malabsorbative procedure”. One form of gastric bypass surgery is known as Roux-en-Y gastric bypass. With these methods of weight loss surgery people have had good changes in their body and many have gained out of these.
