Cooked oatmeal can be applied to the skin and then leave it on for about 15 minutes just like any facial mask. After 15 minutes, rinse the face thoroughly. This can be done everyday. Another common home remedy and solution to acne is lemon juice combined with rose water. Apply this solution to the face using a cotton ball. Leave it on for about 30 minutes and then wash thoroughly with tap water. Avocado is also an effective home remedy and solution to acne. Combine avocado paste and water then mix well. Use this solution to wash the face. This is found to be highly effective for individuals with acne-prone skin. Other home remedies to treat acne are plain lemon juice applied to acne using a cotton ball, grind bay leaves blanched in water then cooled to be applied to the acne and cucumber peels applied directly to the skin with the wet side up.

Effective home remedies to treat acne can be done in the comfort of your own homes at your own convenience. However, it is always best to watch closely for allergic reactions because some individuals with sensitive skin have the tendency to react even from natural treatments.
