A Valentines day gift is special and it should speak what you feel for your beloved. The gift is priceless for him, in the sense that you have put in all your heart and mind in collecting it for him. It could be something as simple as a bunch of golden daffodils that grew by the pathway or some lilies in a vase that he can keep by the window sill. The gifts are unique and the store across the road does not sell such gift ideas. If you want to gift him a bracelet or a ring, be sure to find something that goes with his taste. He loves you and he would be looking for something of you in the gift. A gift well thought out and planned often wins its way to the beloved’s heart.

If you are looking to find some good jewelry for him, you can look up the internet to gift your boyfriend, lover, husband or fiancé with that special something like rings, bracelets, chains, cuff links to wear on a special day. Gift him something so that he remembers you the moment he wears it and as long as he wears it and mind you, the effects are so great that he would keep you forever in your mind.

How about getting a tad too naughtier? Gift him underwear and sexy boxers. Does he like to wear them? You could even try out fun underwear. You can add that special zing to it by tagging to it his special comical character. He can have cute boxers which he would love to wear always.

A personalized gift like a set of handkerchiefs embroidered by you and tucked in a neat looking box with a special note to it are good examples of personalized gifts to show you care. Prepare a spectacles case for him, you can knit him a warm pullover and the strands of wool speaking your heart out, with the words – I love you! You do not mean to be too loud and your gifts should not scream out– “I love you’. A quite personalized and intimate gift would express your love in a deep and mature way.

Christmas over, the Valentines day is coming closer and you should be excited about choosing this year’s Valentines gift for her, aren’t you? You could be thinking hard over which gift would be the most appropriate in expressing how much you love her. A gift that is very personal and out of your heart could be the best gift on a Valentines Day. I would rather you go for a single special rose with a love note tagged to it than a bunch of expensive flowers from the florists. I think a message spoken with love, from the very core of your heart is the best love message and gift that can be delivered.

Valentines DayChocolates are the most precious gifts for any girl and especially, when the chocolates are presented in a special way. If she is a chocolate fiend, then you might get some delightful chocolates for her. Among flowers you can choose wild flowers tied up in a ribbon, daisies or carnations. You might think about a slim-looking book of erotic stories, aromatic massage oil in lovely decanters or some perfume. Think of some special trinket or an exquisite piece of jewelry that could adorn her neck or her wrists. It could have a special romantic message encrypted on it.

If you want the gift to be too personal, think of that exquisite piece of lingerie to adorn her beautiful body. An internet search could help you get some Lingerie Shopping tips and lead you to the most exquisite stores. Try to make your gift very personal. You do not have to buy her anything with an expensive price tag to make it look extraordinary or announce your love for her. Avoid the usual flower arrangements from the supermarket which look very mundane. Instead, you could pick some flowers from the garden to make a neat bunch along with fillers to decorate. You could take her to a music or dance performance or to the very erotic and sexy Flamenco Festival.

Candy is a wonderful gift to give and chocolate and candy gift sets and you could try Haut Chocolat from Katrina Markoff, a confectionary artist. There are Valentines Day gift boxes – the Truffle Collections, and so on. You can purchase them at the Special Boutique Stores.

Valentine’s Day – The day in celebration of Love

Written by praveen on January 29, 2008 – 10:09 pm - 67 People Read this!

The words Valentines Day bring into our minds the impression of a winged Cupid and a big red heart. These have become the insignia for the Valentines Day all over the world. The Valentines Day is the day of lovers all over the world. Though love is celebrated every moment in our lives, nothing could be more appropriate than keeping a day aside for the felicitation of love. On February 14, each year, Valentines Day or Saint Valentines Day is celebrated. On this day lovers gift their beloveds with heart warming presents and cards, sometimes even anonymously. There is an exchange of love messages and love notes written on cards, papers and love gifts. Every year a billion cards and messages are sent the world over, making this the most sensational card-gifting occasion next to Christmas.

Cupid HeartThere are different opinions on who this Saint Valentine was. There have been around 3 Saint Valentines who owe their connection to the date the 14th February. One was a Roman Priest, the second was the Bishop in Italy, at a place called Interamma and there was the third that lived in Africa and died there. The first two priests are supposedly one and the same person.

The Valentines day perhaps owes it origins in the Feast of Lupercalia in Rome. On February 15th a feast was help in honor of Lupercus, the God, whom the other Gods had called upon to scare away the wolves that roamed the forests. On the eve of this festival, a lottery in the name of love was offered where the names of the girls in Rome were written on paper and the small slips were placed in a glass jar. The young men in Rome had to pick up these papers, one each and the girl, whose name was picked up, became his beloved for the year.

The story of Valentine, who was posthumously named Saint, goes this way. In Rome, the emperor, Claudius the second had forbidden soldiers to marry because he thought this would keep them away from their duties as a soldier and from fighting a war. Valentine secretly got these young heroes married off to their beloved. Finally he was arrested and imprisoned and later beheaded. This happened on February 14, on the eve of the festival, Lupercalia. Since then, the Spring Holiday moved from February 15 to February 14 and came to be known as the Valentines Day.
