History of Aloe Vera

The Aloe Vera is basically a plant found in the tropical region. It can survive in places where the temperature is very cold but not where the ground is frozen. It can easily survive in a place where the temperature is as high as 104F. It can also survive in a drought. It can grow in humid places also. The community of medicine has not given ‘Aloe Vera’ its due recognition. The plant is widely used for treating bruises and burns. Efforts are going on for making Aloe Vera useful for treating cancer and the more dreadful AIDS.
Let us make a study at the various research works that are going on to know more about aloe Vera. The mention of the plant can be traced back to Egypt and Greece civilizations. It also founds a mention in the various folk-tales of Japan and Philippines. The plant has been able to draw the attention of people in all ages.
It took man many years to know the medicinal qualities of aloe Vera. What the modern man presents before us is the result of the research work done by our forefathers.
